Project Overview

The I-39/90/94 Corridor Project spans 67 miles in Dane, Columbia, Sauk and Juneau counties between US 12/18 in Madison and US 12/WIS 16 in Wisconsin Dells, including 15 existing interchanges and two potential new interchanges. The project also includes I-39 from where it splits from I-90/94 to Levee Road near Portage.

After years of study and public outreach, the corridor project is moving forward to final design and construction. Learn more about how this project will address existing and future traffic demands, safety issues, and aging and outdated infrastructure.

Drivers may encounter shoulder closures or temporary lane closures along the corridor as crews prepare for final design and construction. 

Please drive safely in work zones: Slow down. Stay alert. Follow all posted sign instructions. Move over, or slow down, when you see workers and vehicles with flashing lights. Wear your seat belt and avoid distractions.
